Project Overview
The SpeedShot.org project is the place where the source code and documentation for SpeedShot live. Although Speedshot is a very simple and lightweight program, and there is currently only one person with commit access to the code repository, this page has been established to support those who wish to give or receive help.
The author and owner of the project is Patrick G. Heck (he prefers to be called Gus). Gus Heck has been a professional java developer for 5 years, and has contributed patches fixes and even a few features to other open source projects. His most notable contributions are three optional tasks and one core task in the Apache Ant Project. SpeedShot is not affiliated with the Apache Software Foundation. The Apache license is used to define the relationship between you and the copyright holder of SpeedShot, but does not imply that this is an Apache project. For the moment SpeedShot is an experiment in independent open source software, though it may at some point move to Sourceforge or another open-source software hosting site. Particularly if I can find one that uses a bug tracker I like. Apache does, but this project is too small and too simple to be an Apache project.
Currently, Speedshot is used by Gus and a few of his friends, and co-workers. It is also being integrated into a commercial ticket and workflow system, but who it is will only be announced once the integration is complete.
